Peace Meditation

This guided meditation for peace is based on elements from Deepak Chopra’s book, Peace is the Way. In this book, Deepak talks about the need for daily moments of thinking, feeling and acting for peace.

By recognizing all the ways that war benefits all of us by providing an outlet for national vengeance, satisfying the demands of fear, providing security to the homeland and bringing power to the victor, he says that the way of peace must offer a substitute for every single thing that war provides. He talks about consciously communicating about peace, loving kindness towards those who need our help, conflict resolution, and creating communities for peace. He says that “If you and I demonstrate that peace is more satisfying than war, the collective consciousness will shift.”

It all starts with inner peace, and meditation can help us develop this inner peace. How do we do this? We start by bringing peace to our inner life, our emotions, thoughts and relationships. Through inner stillness we can touch the Divine parts of our being where peace resides.

So today, let’s take an opportunity to meditate for peace. This meditation is inspired by elements of Chopra’s book, Peace is the Way.
