Everyone who meditates has had to begin somewhere. Some have meditated previously and others are taking it up for the very first time. In any case, we recommend having a firm foundation from which to grow and deepen your meditation practice.
We have found it useful to always begin with a brief reflection on the questions, “Why meditation?” and “Why now”? Doing this will help you focus on the style of meditation you may gravitate to. For example, if you are interested in relaxation, stress relief and better, more restful sleep you could focus on guided imagery and relaxation techniques.
If your interest springs from a growing desire to experience your spirituality, then Mindfulness and Ho’oponopono may be good directions to explore. On the other hand, you may just want to “dive in” and see what meditation offers and have a variety of different experiences.
In any case, we think you have come to the right place, Inward Bound Network is a great starting point, and we will continue to offer a growing variety of meditations over the coming months.
