Meditations for Self-Care

Self-Care is defined as the practice of taking an active role in protecting one's own well-being and happiness. During times of stress, taking the time for self-care is even more important. Self Care includes all the things you do to take care of your well-being in four key dimensions – your emotional, physical, psychological, and spiritual health. Meditation is key to all four of these dimensions.

Eleanor Brownn, author and expert on self-care says:

Self care is any action you purposefully take to improve your physical, emotional or spiritual well being. Too often, we do not make time for sufficient self care because we’re too busy taking care of others. Life’s demands at home, in our community and at work can take our lives out of balance. By making time for self care, you prepare yourself to be your best so you can share your gifts with the world.

Self-Care Sunday #SelfCareSunday

Since the pandamic there has been an increase of people partaking in #selfcaresunday. The idea behind this trend is to take time on Sunday to take care of yourself, to do things for your well-being that you don’t have time for during the week. For many this includes time for meditation. Here are a few of our most popular self-care meditations:

Inner Smile Healing Meditation - this self care meditation is based on a Qigong practice of smiling into the organs and transforming the emotions associated with them for healing body, mind and emotions.

Self-Nurturing with Ho’oponopono - A relaxing meditation utilizing the Ho’oponopono technique to release the past by integrating all aspects of our being, allowing us to open more fully to self-acceptance and self-love.

Mindfulness Meditation for Inner Peace - a mindfulness meditation using the breath and sound, to bring your focus to NOW, this moment. This will open you to positive changes in mind, body and spirit.

Cultivating Self-Love with Ho’oponopono -This meditation focuses upon cleaning those negative beliefs that stand in the way of us experiencing “self love”.

Heart Coherence Meditation - This soothing meditation uses the HeartMath breathing practices to establish heart coherence to change attitudes, find answers and renew your energy.
